Beaconsfield offers voluntary work linked directly to our exhibitions and events. Volunteering at Beaconsfield is a great opportunity to be part of a small friendly team and to gain experience in a contemporary art organisation.
As first point of contact to the public volunteer invigilators play a vital role in providing visitors with information and a warm welcome and ensuring the smooth running of the public space. They also support staff running the small gallery café and our audience development programme. We ask for your commitment and enthusiasm for a minimum of three months and, in return, will provide experience and a reference (on request).
Please contact Beaconsfield if you are interested in becoming a volunteer invigilator or offering professional skills to sustain the charity.
Beaconsfield is always interested in maintaining its list of freelance technicians to assist with installation of exhibitions and events, as well as general maintenance of the building. For more information, please contact the office.
Beaconsfield’s directors are always happy to be made aware of new work and artist CVs and images are accepted. Please send information by email or post, but do not send original works of art and remember to include an SAE if you would like anything returned. Beaconsfield cannot return images or catalogues where an SAE is not provided.
NB: Beaconsfield does not accept unsolicited exhibition proposals.
Beaconsfield actively tries to order from small local businesses whenever possible. If you are a business in the Vauxhall area and think Beaconsfield might benefit from your services (such as catering, office supplies, security staff etc.) please feel free to contact us.
