6pm: starting at Space Station Sixty-Five with Northern Souls, the curators of Beaconsfield will join the curators of Space Station Sixty-Five and guest curators of Northern Souls in an informal walkabout, linking concurrent exhibitions by Finnish artists.
7pm: the group will be led on a short walk by performance artist Heidi Kilpeläinen to view Arkhipelagos at Beaconsfield and continue discussion about the Finnish art scene over a drink.
This event accompanies the current exhibition IC-98: Arkhipelagos (4 April – 7 June 2014).
Following their debut UK show in 2012, Finnish-duo IC-98 return to Beaconsfield on a grand scale with a two-part work in their signature medium – pencil-drawn animation.
Curated by Minna Haukka and Arto Korhonen for Space Station Sixty-Five the group exhibition Northern Souls (21 March – 10 May 2014) presents a wide array of Finnish contemporary artists focusing on minorities and the experience of the outsider.
Space Station Sixty-Five, Building One, 373 Kennington Road, London, SE11 4PS
