Friday 30 March 2012, 6-8.30pm
A free drop-in drawing session for all ages inspired by our current exhibition.
A View from the Other Side is a 70 minute animation that charts the progress of a historic public building in Finland through detailed pencil drawings. Be inspired by this feat of draughtsmanship and contribute to a collaborative drawing, tracing local histories and the rise and fall of real and imagined cities beyond, using a universal means of public expression.
Basic materials provided but feel free to bring any drawing weapons of choice.
The galleries will be open late for an evening viewing of IC-98: A View From The Other Side. This first UK exhibition by Finnish collaborative duo IC-98 showcases three meticulously drawn, slow-burn animations, from the series Theses on the Body Politic.
This evening programme forms part of the South London Art Map LAST Fridays late openings.
March’s Bankside Afterparty takes place at Hotel Elephant.
