Curated by Tatzuko Tomiyama and Beaconsfield
Seminal Gutai artist Shozo Shimamoto travels from Japan to London to enact a series of solo performances producing a series of large scale paintings on cashmere.
Gutai works from Shimamoto’s output in 1960s are acquired by Tate Modern Collection, brokered by Beaconsfield.
The exhibition has been realised by student curator Tatsuko Tomiyama (Goldsmiths Creative Curating) in collaboration with Beaconsfield. A catalogue is available edited by Naomi Siderfin.
