It all made sense in the beginning…
Explore timeless themes of protest with ten multi-disciplinary artists from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, who have devised an original, interactive performance experience for Beaconsfield.
Watch and engage as the evening unfolds with this group of artists who take you on a journey through solo and collaborative performances to explore both sides of ‘protest’ and displace your autonomy.
Become immersed in the ‘for and against’ of the immortal subject of PROTEST, through the mediums of music, dance, theatre, live film, rap and poetry, where your identity is examined and your morals put to the test.
Be prepared to probe the taboo and scrutinize the opposition. Do you really know what you are capable of? Do you know what you stand for? How far are you willing to go for a taste of glory at the expense of others? Will you ever, really be free?
Participating artists: Humble Demi, Louie Le Vack, Maedb Joy, Poetess Jess, Kookie Pops, Nikki Demajo Albanese, Tha Reme, Noah Dunbar, Rosie Webb, Rebekah Alero.
PROTEST is commissioned by Mikey Asante and mentored by Beaconsfield.
Tickets £5 in advance, £8 on the door
