Working Creatively with Clay: Ceramic Workshops 2024

This summer we have been delighted to offer more terracotta pot-making workshops for schools within walking distance of Beaconsfield’s gallery in Vauxhall, this time inspired by traditional Toby jugs and artist Simon Bedwell‘s figurative ceramics.

Six local school classes visited Beaconsfield in July to meet Simon and work expressively with clay on site at Beaconsfield. Their work has since been fired by our local partner Mudgang Pottery.

Students are invited to collect their creations on 6 July when families are welcome to join us for the final day of the exhibition by Simon Bedwell and Stephen Sutcliffe, Memories of the Five Administrations, before taking their pots home.
